Certification Introduction
SLS certification is a national mandatory market access certification implemented by Sri Lanka for electrical and electronic products, uniformly managed by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI), and it is similar in nature to China's CCC certification. According to the new regulation in 2025, all imported electrical and electronic products must obtain this certification and affix the SLS mark before they can enter the Sri Lankan market for sale. Non-compliant products will be banned from import, and the overall certification cycle is usually 3-6 months. The coverage includes common electrical and electronic categories such as household appliances, lighting equipment, wires and cables, communication equipment, and computer accessories.
