Agricultural & Forestry Machinery — Customs Union (EAC)

Certification Introduction

Agricultural and forestry machinery entering the market of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU, including five member states: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan) is required to complete mandatory EAC certification (CU-TR certification) to achieve "one certification, access to five countries". The certification results are mutually recognized among all member states, and uncertified products cannot clear customs or be sold on the market.

Technical Requirements

Mechanical Safety: It is required to meet safety requirements including structural strength, anti-tipping stability, protection of dangerous moving parts, braking performance, noise and vibration control; Electrical and Electromagnetic Compatibility: Low-voltage components need to meet insulation and grounding safety requirements, and products with electronic devices need to meet electromagnetic interference limit requirements; Hazardous Substances: Electronic components need to meet RoHS requirements for restricting hazardous substances such as lead and mercury; Identification and Documentation: All technical documents must be provided in Russian, and compliant products must be affixed with the EAC conformity mark before being launched on the market.

Certification Process

Confirm product classification, clarify applicable regulations, and select certification mode based on product risk level and production scale: High-risk mass-produced products need to apply for EAC Certificate of Conformity (CoC), while medium and low-risk small-batch products can apply for EAC Declaration of Conformity (DoC);
Prepare a complete set of application materials: Including Russian version product manual, technical drawings, risk assessment report, enterprise qualification documents, etc.;
[After submitting the application, complete document review, finish sample testing in an EAEU accredited laboratory as required, and CoC for mass production requires additional factory audit;
After passing the review, certification documents are issued and filed in the official EAEU system, and products can be launched to the market after affixing the EAC mark.
