Certification Introduction

DZZ Certification is a mandatory market access certification for electrical and electronic products in Serbia, supervised by the Institute for Standardization of Serbia (ISS). It covers all categories of electrical and electronic products including household appliances, IT equipment, lighting products, electric tools and more. Products without valid certification are not allowed to be sold on the Serbian market. The certification system is built on the EU CE framework, and products holding valid CE certificates can apply for a simplified certificate conversion process.

Technical Requirements

Electrical Safety: Tests of insulation, voltage resistance, fire resistance, temperature rise and other items are carried out in accordance with international standards such as IEC 60335 and IEC 60950; Electromagnetic Compatibility: Comply with the requirements of EN 55032/55035, EN 61000 series standards, and complete emission and immunity tests; Special Requirements: Products such as refrigerators and air conditioners need to meet energy efficiency regulations and affix Serbian-language energy efficiency labels; Plugs must comply with the local SEP 1.1 standard; Radio equipment must meet the USB-C universal charger compatibility requirements; Product labels and instruction manuals must be in Serbian.

Certification Process

Submit certification application and a complete set of technical documents, including circuit diagrams, product manuals, existing test reports, etc.;
The certification body conducts document review, and may require on-site factory inspection for high-risk products;
Complete sample testing as required, and supplement the difference testing items required by local standards;
After passing all reviews and tests, the certification certificate will be issued. The certificate is usually valid for 3 years, and regular supervision and re-audit are required.
