Mexico | IFT-011-2022
On August 28, CRT issued an amendment notice regarding Part 3 of IFT-011-2022, which involves cellular broadcast service protocols used for risk or emergency notifications. For devices that have already obtained certificates and have hardware support, new functions can be activated through software upgrades, and a notice can be submitted to the certification body. For old devices that do not support the new functions, the original certificate remains valid but cannot be extended.
Argentina | Resolución ENACOM N° 843/2026
On August 26, the National Communications Agency of Argentina issued Resolution No. 843/2026, extending the implementation deadline of the RAMATEL regulatory framework (Resolution No. 57/2026) from September 1, 2026 to December 1, 2026. During this transition period, the registration of telecommunications equipment will continue to follow the procedures of Resolution No. 729/80; the validity period of already approved certifications remains three years.
Brazil | Certifica
The Brazilian National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL) has developed a new certification system called Certifica to replace the existing Mosaico-SCH system.
